SPHERICAL DESIGNS
A mix of photo collage and digital illustration. I created the spheres and checkered patterns in Adobe Illustrator. Then I bring them into Photoshop and layer them over cactus and wild flower photos.
DIGITAL PORTRAITS
These designs were created in Adobe Illustrator and are my take on the pop art and art nouveau images of the likes of Andy Worhol, Alphonse Mucha and Roy Lichtenstein.
ABSTRACT DESIGNS
These are my take on abstract art. Most of them are Adobe Illustrator, but a few are also photo collage. I wanted to create the feel of works by Pollock, Kandinsky, Malevich and the likes.
ROBOTS
My fascination with robots began with B-9, the Lost in Space robot. I had a B-9 toy when I was a kid. Then I discovered Robbie the Robot from Forbidden Planet, who had guest appearances in two episodes of Lost in Space. How does a robot from movie have a guest appearance on a TV show? That does not compute.
These robots are a tribute to B-9 and Robbie and their bulky, somewhat comical, 1950’s sci-fi look.
